Pumps Provide Durability For Demanding Jobs

Robin Subaru centrifugal pumps combine a powerful overhead-cam engine, heavy-duty construction and reliable performance for dewatering in light construction, flood control, homeowner, firefighting and irrigation applications. The self-priming pumps are available in 2-, 3- and 4-inch models. Each model is powered by the Robin Subaru EX Series overhead-cam engine providing maximum performance, lower emissions and better fuel economy. The pumps offer a delivery volume of 158 gallons per minute up to 256 gallons per minute.

Designed to offer durability, the centrifugal pumps use high-quality, heavy-duty materials. An abrasion-resistant, cast-iron three-blade impeller ensures long life, while a hardened cast-iron volute withstands debris sucked through the strainer. The advanced volute design pumps water straight into the cavity for fast priming. The carbon ceramic seal is self-lubricating and provides many hours of trouble-free service. The pumps feature a durable, heavy-duty strainer to protect the pump from large solids. The hole diameter prevents large debris from entering the suction hose. Aluminum die-cast housing withstands the debris allowed. Suction and discharge nipples have standard NPT fittings for quick, easy hose connections.

For quiet operation, the pump features a low-tone muffler and a sound-suppressing air cleaner. Routine maintenance can be completed in the field with common hand tools.

Dale Gabrielse, training manager for Robin America, says the pumps are a good fit for the rental industry because of the durability features built into the engine and pump. “The most unique feature is the chain-driven overhead cam engine — the latest technology in durable small engine design,” he says. “Benefits associated with this include low emissions, high power-to-size ratio and maximum durability.”
