Deere & Co., headquartered in Moline, Ill., announced that Robert Lane has been elected chief executive. He succeeds Hans Becherer, who continues as chairman. Lane has been with Deere since 1982, serving most recently as president and chief operating officer.

Peter Hong was named vice president and treasurer at Ingersoll-Rand Co. in Woodcliff Lake, N.J. Previously, he was responsible for investor relations and business development at CNH Global.

UpRight Inc., based in Selma, Calif., named Rodney Allen and Pat Clark dealer managers. Most recently, Allen was a branch manager for Hertz Equip-ment Rental, while Clark was a regional sales representative for Condor.

Godwin Pumps of America has added four sales engineers. Ruben Rosas joins the company's Bridgeport, N.J., headquarters, and Ricky McComas joins the Charleston, W.Va., office. Bernie Lee and Doug Wyckoff were added to Godwin's Norwich, Conn., office. The company also named Marie Inferrera Holmdal director of marketing.

Jeffrey Hanko joined Englewood, Co.-based Windsor Industries as executive vice president of operations. Previously, he was with Baxa Corp. and Teledyne Water Pik.

Dean Dearking was named credit manager at Com-paction America in Kewanee, Ill. Previously, he was the credit manager with Thomas Proestler.

Ed Detrich was promoted to national sales manager at TruServ Specialty, the Butler, Pa.-based rental division of TruServ Corp. Detrich has been with the company since 1995, serving most recently as a rental sales and support specialist.

ERB Industries, based in Woodstock, Ga., named Sean Rich director of management information systems. Most recently, Rich was a senior systems manager with Zomax Inc.

Wellington Equipment, based in Menomonee Falls, Wis., announced three staff changes at its Neenah, Wis., branch. Steven Tucker became branch manager, Joe Rattonetti sales manager and Ken Beres aerial lift specialist. Previously, Tucker served as customer service manager with Mayville Engineering, while Rattonetti was with Lift Truck Specialists. Beres joined Wellington in 1998 and has served in sales and management capacities.

Stratford, Conn.-based Indeco appointed Mike Fischer national sales manager for its hydraulic breaker, boom-mounted compactor and stationary boom mount product lines.

Vermeer Manufacturing, headquartered in Pella, Iowa, named Doug Hundt vice president of its trenchless product group, Vince Newendorp vice president of the environmental product group and Jeff Ruiter vice president of the rubber tire group and continuous improvement.

San Antonio-based Holt Rental Services announced a number of personnel changes at its Austin, Texas, Cat Rental Store. Gary Ellenberger was named branch manager, and Brandon Nelson, Dan Rioux, John Stedman and Brian Wade were named outside sales representatives. Angi Harris is the branch clerk, and Ryan Rivera and Wade Wheeler are inside sales coordinators. Also, Brian Taylor and Cody Alexander were named sales representatives with the Express Mobile Stores division.
