Bosch Power Tools unveils a new line of router accessories including a new router guide, dust extraction hoods and kits, router table mounting plate, plunge base, under-table router base and a fine-adjustment extension.

The new RA1054 deluxe router guide offers users the capability to make precision dados and grooves up to 8 inches from the edge, route circles and arcs up to 32 inches in diameter and form edges using non-piloted bits.

The RA1170 edge forming dust extraction hood allows edge forming with bits that have bearings from 1/4 to 1/2 inch in diameter. The RA1172 kit for use with the 1617 and 1618 series routers includes a hood for work on flat surfaces as well as the RA1170 edge forming hood. The RA1173 kit, designed for use with the new 1617PK and EVSPK router combination packs includes both of those hoods plus a hood for the new plunge base. The new plunge base is also available separately as the RA1166 for those who already have the Bosch 1617 and 1618 series fixed-base routers.

“Having an array of accessories means a rental agency can offer their end user the ability to complete virtually an endless number of different projects,” says Chris Carlson, director of marketing. “With something like the Bosch Edge Forming Dust Extraction Hood or Router Guide, not only can the end user rent a Bosch Router, but they can also rent the accessory.”

Constructed of magnesium and similar to the routers' standard bases, the RA1164 under-table router base has 3- and 4-hole mounting-hole patterns, a 3 3/4-inch base opening to accommodate large bits and the same patented fine adjustment system as on the standard bases.

The company also introduces the undrilled RA1250 router table mounting plate for those who want to use a competitor's router with the Bosch RA1200 portable router table, which includes a mounting plate that is predrilled for Bosch routers.
