HARTFORD, Conn.- Caterpillar dealer H.O. Penn Machinery Co. last month opened the first of eight planned Cat Rental Stores in Hartford, Conn., general manager Tony Sarao told RER.

The Poughkeepsie, N.Y.-based dealer, which covers the metro New York area, Long Island and Connecticut, plans to rent a full line of equipment from small tools to excavators, including aerial work platforms, air compressors, trenchers, pumps and compaction equipment.

Sarao said the stores, which will include the Cat Rental Store logo on their signage, will do business as Penn Rents. Penn Rents will operate as a separate company from the dealership.
