Bridgeport, N.J.-based Mitsui Machinery Distribution finalized the purchase of the assets of NAC Construction Products, Elk Grove Village, Ill., and made the announcement last month at the ARA Convention and Trade Show.

“The purchase of NAC will allow MMD to immediately enter new markets, while building a platform for future product expansion,” Ron Johnson, president and CEO of MMD told RER. “It was a good thing for both companies. It gives us an opportunity to expand our product line with a company whose products have an established reputation of high quality and integrity. It needed a bigger line, which we have, and we needed a smaller line.”

NAC is a supplier of products such as portable generators, pumps and portable compaction equipment.

Mitsui is a wholesale distributor of wheel loaders, lift trucks, generators, welders, compact excavators and air compressors.
