Lincoln, Neb.-based MachineryTrader.com recently introduced a free messaging option called Want-To-Rent on its Web site, an online marketplace for buying and selling heavy construction equipment.

The Want-To-Rent feature works the same way as the Want-To-Buy feature on the site, where users complete a short form describing the equipment or attachment they want to rent and their jobsite. Once posted, the Want-To-Rent messages are routed to rental companies and heavy equipment dealers throughout North America. These companies then contact the potential renter with quotes for the specified product.
