We can live without the rest: JLG Extends Servicing Capabilities; Signs Marine Corps Contract
McConnellsburg, Pa.-based JLG Industries announced that it was awarded a two-year contract with the U.S. Marine Corps for the refurbishing of the Tier 1 telehandler fleet. The fleet is comprised of 132 Millennia Military Vehicles deployed in April 2002. New MMV models designed to comply with Tier 2 emission control regulations are scheduled to be shipped to the U.S. Marine Corps over the same period.
The U.S. Army also recently announced its intentions to enter into negotiations for a three-year sole source contract with JLG for the reconditioning of an estimated 350 All-Terrain Lifter Army System vehicles and 350 of its predecessor models.
“Consistent with our servicing strategy, and coupled with our announcement last December to bring reconditioning services to Europe, the expansion of our remanufacturing operations demonstrated our commitment to offer our customers value-add products and services — a philosophy that drives JLG's position as the world's leading producer of access equipment,” said Craig Paylor, senior vice president, sales, marketing and customer support.
