Linamar Acquires 48 Percent of Skyjack

GUELPH, Ontario — Linamar Corp. completed its purchase of about 48 percent of aerial work platform manufacturer Skyjack's outstanding common shares from Skyjack founder Wolf Haessler and Haessler Corp.

Skyjack, also based in Guelph, named Paul Riganelli as interim president, replacing Jos Wintermans, who replaced Haessler as president in January 2000. Haessler will continue as chairman of the board of Skyjack.

Frank and Linda Hasenfratz, CEO and president of Linamar, have been appointed to Skyjack's board of directors.
