DENVER — UpRight was one of the first manufacturers to sign a major equipment deal with HSS RentX as the national rental chain initiates a $25 million investment in new equipment, facilities and services in early 2002.

The 244-unit deal includes 12 different models of UpRight lifts, the majority of them U.S.-built machines. They range from 19-foot working height personnel lifts to 39-foot RT scissors and 45-foot articulated micro-booms.

HSS RentX — No. 18 on the RER 100 — is the North American division of British-based HSS, the leading rental company of its kind with more than 600 locations nationwide. The U.S. deal follows substantial orders for UpRight equipment in other international HSS markets, including the UK, Spain and Greece.
