Honda Engine Powers Water Wagon

Wylie Mfg. recently made design changes to the Express water wagon. The wagon is now more functional and durable than ever, the company says.

The wagon still features either a 500- or 1,025-gallon polyethylene tank, tandem axles, electric or surge brakes, height adjustable hitch and Grip Strut fenders. Wylie is the only manufacturer of water trailers in this class with 16-inch tires. Other standard features include a 25-foot fire hose and nozzle, 25-foot, ½-inch rubber hose and gun, 20-foot suction hose with quick couplers, fire hydrant adapter and pond suction screen. It is powered by a Honda engine and Tsurumi pump.

“Features such as heavier frame members, height adjustable hitch and 16-inch wheels and tires all combine into a water trailer that will make money for the rental industry year after year,” says Mickey O'Neill, sales and marketing manager. “The low initial investment coupled with a high return makes the water wagon a profitable addition to a rental inventory.”

New features include a galvanized steel spray bar with three brass nozzles covering a total swath width of 20 feet. Ball valves allow only the center nozzle to be used or the ability to apply water behind and to one side of the product. Other features include a galvanized steel manifold on both the suction and discharge side of the pump to allow a variety of operations.
