CHICO, Calif. — Chico, Calif.-based Guy Rents added its third Northern California location through the acquisition of Harrison's Rent-It Center in Redding, Calif.

“This acquisition allows Guy Rents to further strengthen its position in the Northern California market with an additional location and new product offerings such as temporary fence rental,” said Alex DuBose, vice president of Guy Rents.

Harrison Rent-It Center, founded in 1974 by Leo and Helen Harrison and most recently operated by Jerry and Mary Harrison, is a general tool, party and equipment rental company, serving the contractor, homeowner and industrial markets. In 1999, Harrison's acquired a local temporary fence rental company to add to the general rental center's product offerings.

Guy Rents will operate in the current 1.4-acre facility, managed by Brandon Chambers. Guy Rents, which also has a branch in Anderson, Calif., near Redding, has plans for further expansion with a new facility in the works for a late 2003 or early 2004 opening date.
