Former AAA Owner Opens R-Quip

WICHITA, Kan. — Bob Richardson, a former American Rental Association state and regional association president, opened a new rental center in Wichita, Kan., last month. Richardson sold his previous business, multi-location AAA Rentals, to United Rentals in the late 1990s and plans to concentrate on general rental equipment aimed at the light contractor market.

“My non-compete agreement expired a while back,” Richardson told RER. “We'll have a good time again.”

Richardson's new store is called R-Quip.
