PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Caterpillar dealer Foley Inc. recently rolled out the Peoria, Ill.-based manufacturer's new dealer software system DBSi. The new system is designed to optimize dealer operations to provide greater value to customers, including a customer relationship management package, a financial software package and software packages for the power systems and rental services operations. Foley was one of the first Caterpillar dealers to install the new operating system that all Cat dealers will be expected to use.

“The system enables us to communicate faster, access better and timelier information, and streamline operations,” said Susan Connolly, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Piscataway, N.J.-based Foley, Caterpillar dealer in northern New Jersey, Staten Island and Bermuda. “Thanks to DBSi, our sales people are better informed about the status of machine inventories, purchase orders and repair schedules when they call on their customers, so they can answer key questions and follow-up accordingly. All of this has enabled Foley to respond to customer needs quicker, provide solutions to customer problems and help customers grow their businesses.”

Connolly recently made a presentation to Caterpillar's board of directors on the company's progress with the new system. The board acknowledged Foley for being at the forefront with DBSi. Foley was also recently awarded Caterpillar's annual quality improvement award based on its success with DBSi and other initiatives.
