Elliott's New Combo Reaches to Even Greater Heights

Featuring extreme versatility, improved cost-effectiveness and the ability to take the place of two or more machines, the new ECL-3-60 combination aerial work platform and crane is fit for the rental industry, according to Elliott Equipment.

"The ECL-3-60 is ideal for rental applications," says company president Jim Glazer. "It cuts out the delivery expense of a self-propelled aerial and is perfect for users that must cover a wide area."

The unit offers 65 feet of working height, 48 feet of working side reach and a 6,000-pound crane capacity. It mounts on a 26,000-pound chassis. The ECL-3-60 is 3 feet taller than its predecessor - the ECL-3-55 - and unlike the earlier machine, it is equipped with both front and rear outriggers, making it easier to use and store, Glazer says.

The ECL-3-60 features a fully hydraulic boom extension that provides smooth operation and complete control at the work area. Also, the unit's E-Z-R platform rotates hydraulically and can be removed or replaced by one worker without lifting or tools in less than a minute, according to the manufacturer.

Glazer says a bucket can be fitted to the unit and there are no cables or chains on the boom. It also can be equipped with a variety of accessories, including a 1,000-pound auxiliary winch, 110-volt power, welding leads, pressure washer lines, and air and hydraulic tool lines, all of which seem a perfect fit for contractors, he says.

"The unit's multi-functionality allows it to take the place of two or more machines," Glazer says. "[The platform makes] it even more cost-effective for the user to operate."
