Dump Truck Enhancements Reduce Service Requirements
Case has upgraded its 300 Series articulated dump trucks to be Tier II-certified and also incorporated several other improvements that increase efficiency and reduce service requirements. To reduce service requirements and allow the operator to easily complete daily checks, Case added swing-out fenders and a hydraulic lift for the hood to provide easier access to maintenance points, valves and pumps.
Case Tier II models also feature an auto-lube system that continuously greases all lube points from a central distribution block, which greatly reduces daily maintenance requirements. In addition, more pressure test ports provide quicker, more accurate diagnostics. The articulated dump trucks retain their wider frame and lower dump body, which provides room for the dump cylinders to be housed inside, creating a lower center of gravity and stability. Housing the cylinders inside the frame means they are better protected from the elements.
The cab is designed for operator comfort and ease of use, with ergonomic controls positioned within the operator's reach, easy view of all status lights, and adjustable steering console. “A more comfortable operator is more productive, and Case has worked very hard to make operators more comfortable,” says Dave Wolf, Case marketing manager. “The new Case ADT models have many creature comforts, including an extra-cushioned ride that reduces operator fatigue.”
