Dig Big Using These High-Strength Excavators

The largest excavator ever offered by Case Construction Equipment — the new 80-metric-ton CX800 — joins a second new model in an expansion of the Case family thinking machines with revolutionary automatic work mode and advanced hydraulics.

The CX800 and CX290 bring the CX Series line to six models, ranging 13 to 80 metric tons. The CX800 offers two boom sizes up to 27 feet 7 inches and arm lengths up to 18 feet 5 inches. Maximum dig radius is 53 feet 1 inch. Bucket digging force tops 81,000 pounds with Power Boost.

“The CX800 gives customers the smart Case Pro Control System hydraulics and CX ease of operation in a machine with the muscle to take on big jobs,” says David Wolf, marketing manager at Case Construction Equipment. “It provides digging and lifting solutions for more markets and applications.”

With increased breakout force, more horsepower and the new Case digital electronic-controlled engine, the CX290 delivers a fuel-efficient 190 hp and maximum dig depth of 23 feet 5 inches.

Electronically controlled engines featured in the CX210 through CX800 use sophisticated electronic engine controls, high-pressure fuel injection and high-strength components to deliver unmatched performance among diesel engines on the market. The engines' design boosts airflow, provides more power, improves response and increases fuel economy.
