Deere Dozer Provides More Pushing Power, Traction
With more pushing power than the long-track model and significantly reduced track spin, the new John Deere 650H XLT dozer provides improved performance and increased traction.
Enhanced features include five inches more track on the ground, in addition to 100 pounds of additional weight, which combines to deliver the machine's power to the ground at just 5.6 psi.
“The 650 XLT offers all of the advantages of the 650H, but with even more power, traction and finishing finesse,” says Brett Errthum, business analysis manager. “It provides machine control on slopes and improved traction for difficult terrain, as well as fine grading capability.”
The product offers the same flexibility as the long track model, with the same track gauge, shoe options and blade width choices. Blade options include 105- or 115-inch, six-way, all hydraulic blades with three-position adjustable links that simplify pitch adjustment. The all-hydraulic blade is controlled by a single lever, designed to simplify operation.
The unit offers an ergonomically correct joystick to control its fully-featured hydrostatic transmission. A thumb-actuated selector switch on the handle allows the operator to slow or increase travel speeds in one-tenth increments. Additional speed control features include a reverse ratio selector that allows the operator to pre-select faster or slower speeds to match terrain conditions or job requirements.
Verified by Brett Errthum, business analysis manager.
