LIVERMORE, Calif. — Cresco Equipment Rentals, Livermore, Calif., recently acquired Centerville Rents, a single-location general rental company in Fremont, Calif. The acquisition gives Cresco 12 branches in and around the San Francisco Bay area, including its purchase of Michael's Rentals in South San Francisco and Burlingame, Calif., last December.

“When we met the Centerville team and saw them in action, we knew that we had to get together,” said Chris Smith, Cresco president. “They have built an impressive business and shown a great commitment to their community over the years. This is a terrific fit for our business.”

Cresco plans a name change for the location before the end of the year.

Hageman, Stansberry & Associates, a mergers and acquisition firm that specializes in the equipment rental and special events rental industries, represented Centerville Rents in the transaction. It has offices in Arlington, Texas, and Cameron Park, Calif.
