CNH Sells European Equipment Business

RACINE, Wis. - CNH Global sold its Fermec Holdings construction equipment business to EarthForce Holdings. The sale is one of the European Commission's conditions for approving the merger of Case Corp. and New Holland.

Under terms of the sale, Earth-Force is purchasing the Fermec's Manchester, England, plant and the company's loader/backhoe and industrial tractor product lines. CNH will retain its rights to manufacture and market mini-excavators licensed to the company by Kobelco.
