Case Settles Overcharging Claims
Case Corp. will pay $1.9 million to settle claims that it overcharged the U.S. government for road-building equipment, according to the Justice Department.
The Racine, Wis.-based manufacturing giant failed to provide accurate pricing information by not offering government contract negotiators the same discounts it provided to other customers, according to assistant attorney general Frank Hunger.
The settlement also covers allegations that the company overcharged the government as part of a five-year contract that ended in 1994.
