Battlefield to Open New Branches

STONEY CREEK, Ontario - Battlefield Equipment Rentals is preparing to launch two new facilities, CEO Bill Attwell told RER.

Battlefield, owned by Ontario Caterpillar dealer Toromont, bought a building in Ajax, an eastern suburb of Toronto, from a crane rental company. Battlefield is scheduled to take possession of the building Aug. 1.

The company is also building a facility in Cambridge, Ontario, that will be a regional hub for cities west of Toronto, including Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo and Guelph. The company has moved a mobile site onto the property while construction takes place.

Attwell added that Battlefield, No. 24 on the RER 100, is working on new acquisitions. With the soon-to-be-opened branches, Battlefield will have 27 locations, 21 in Ontario and six in Newfoundland.
