GREENVILLE, S.C.-American Equipment Co., No. 8 on the RER 100, recently acquired full ownership of Mexican equipment dealer and rental company Maquinaria Panamerica S.A. from Grupo ICA.

American acquired 65 percent of MAPSA from Grupo ICA in June 1997. MAPSA has offices in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Puebla and Villahermosa. It also has three parts and service locations in other parts of Mexico.

MAPSA will continue to operate under its current name, according to American, which is based here.
