Allmand Bros. has purchased the Chief E-Z Breaker product line of concrete-breaking equipment from Chief Industries, Grand Island, Neb.

"It seems to fit more with us than with them," Jerry Greenquist, Allmand vice president of sales and marketing, told RER. "Chief had one [sales representative] who handled the whole line. Just bringing it into our organization will increase sales significantly with the added exposure. We'll be able to serve it better."

The line will be renamed Allmand E-Z Breaker, and the brand's signature color will be changed from yellow to orange to match Allmand's other products.

Allmand, Holdrege, Neb., which acquired Portable Power & Light last year, also manufactures heaters, generators, and earthmoving and lighting equipment.
