Alert-IMS Adds R.E.N.T.S. Users

Software developer Interactive Management Systems, also known as Alert-IMS, has assumed responsibility for the software support users of the R.E.N.T.S. system, previously owned by Elmen Rent All., Sioux Falls S.D.

R.E.N.T.S. became available in July when United Rentals, which also owns Wynne Systems, acquired Elmen.

Colorado Springs, Col.-based Alert, which developed the EasyPro computer system for rental companies, also added Operation Management Systems' group of users from Joe Doran when United acquired his Stockton, Calif.-based company, A&A Tool Rentals & Sales in October 1997.

Alert-IMS now supports more than 500 rental operations in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
