Brooklyn-based Acme Tool Rental has opened a long-anticipated branch here, where it has been working with a major contractor for several months on casino-related projects.

The new 18,000-square-foot location joins Binder Machinery's recently opened branch as the first dedicated rental centers in Atlantic City, according to Acme president Nat DiStefano. Frank Tuminello will manage the branch.

Acme is also expanding into the hardware segment in a joint effort with Atlantic City Industrial Hardware, the city's oldest industrial hardware supplier, DiStefano said. Together, they will provide interior supplies, from doorknobs to lighting fixtures, to the casinos.
