Diamond Products' new Core Cut tile saws, like the company's other saws, are designed to maximize productivity. The line has three models: the CC770T, CC880T and CC990T (pictured).

The CC990T has a 10-inch blade capacity and adjustable guide rails for easy saw alignment. The unit features a 1.5-horsepower, high-torque motor as well as cutting that will appeal to rental customers, according to Chuck Markley, vice president of Diamond's equipment division.

“It's a new product for us, and it rip-cuts and diamond-cuts longer than other models,” he says.

The CC990T can rip-cut to 20 inches and diagonal-cut to 14 inches. It has a solid steel frame and a removable, stainless steel water tray providing superior strength and longer life than the plastic or regular steel trays on other saws in the market.

Markley says the unit's other strengths include a cutting table that uses ball-bearing wheels for smooth movement and accurate cutting. Also, a replaceable, liquid-cooled bearing housing extends the blade shaft bearing life. The blade guard includes a brush to provide additional blade-cooling protection and limit overspray, keeping the work area clean and aiding operator comfort.

Markley says rental centers also will appreciate the unit's convenience. It has carrying handles and can be transported to and from the job site easily.
