Portable Generator Goes Prime Time
The new CPG 45 portable generator from Chicago Pneumatic features an Interim Tier-4 Kubota diesel engine and a Stamford BCI series alternator to deliver 35 kW of prime power. Standard features include a multi-voltage selector switch, remote start and stop capability, and a digital control system.
“The CPG 45 is well suited for rental applications due to its small footprint and large available power,” says Chuck Westhofen, product marketing manager, compressors and generators, Atlas Copco Construction Equipment. “The Kubota engine is well known in the industry with service available most everywhere. The intuitive controller is very easy to use and provides at-a-glance access to all common gauges.”
A comprehensive instrument panel enables all key operating functions to be supervised without opening the canopy, and analog gauges provide quick and easy monitoring. A 70-gallon fuel tank allows a 24-hour run time, and the spillage-free frame provides environmental protection up to 110 percent.
“The base frame is extremely sturdy, which will provide protection for the generator and maintain its high resale value,” adds Westhofen.
The CPG 45 is designed to go 500 hours before service intervals.
Verified by Chuck Westhofen, product marketing manager, compressors and generators, Atlas Copco Construction Equipment.
