Terex

The TXH Series hydraulic hammers are built for compatibility with Terex compact excavators and loader backhoes. Pictured is the TX1100. Every hammer in the TXH Series is vibra-silenced via the polymer suspension pad to reduce total operator and carrier machine vibration exposure. These hammers are engineered to guarantee lower sound power levels, and the entire hydraulic hammer system is easily maintained through a single-point greasing system. The one-piece box design does not use cross-bolts, allowing the hammer to work in a narrower trench or close quarters without concern that the hammer could get hung up.

General Equipment

Designed for use with both small and large hydraulic systems, the DIG-R-TACH line is suitable for use with skid-steer loaders, small excavators, knuckleboom cranes and small backhoes. The 671 DIG-R-TACH Series 16 earth-drilling attachment (pictured) is intended for smaller hydraulic systems, whereas the Series 24 is designed for larger hydraulic systems found with backhoes and excavators. Featuring a two-speed chain/sprocket drive and a 5- to 20-gpm hydraulic flow range, the Series 16 balances smaller flow volumes in proportion to auger diameters, resulting in a cleaner hole with less loose soil and debris.

Woods Equipment Co.

The Groundbreaker-X BH70-X and BH80-X (pictured) backhoe models are designed for use with skid steers or 18-to 45-hp compact tractors. The Groundbreaker-X easily attaches and detaches with either a 3-point or 4-point hitch. Its excavator-style curved boom and large dipper cylinders offer up to 3,780 pounds of digging force. The curved boom reaches over objects with better visibility and less repositioning than a straight boom. A 180-degree swing arc and 180-degree bucket rotation enable the Groundbreaker-X backhoes to maneuver in and around obstacles.

Caterpillar

The new 450E backhoe loader is designed with new functional styling, easier maintenance and enhanced operator comfort over the 446D model that it replaces. The 450E has 124 net hp and a backhoe digging depth of 17 feet, 3 inches when equipped with a standard stick. The new extendable stick pushes the 450E digging depth to 21 feet, 4 inches. Its high-rotation backhoe linkage eliminates the need to change pin position when moving from loading trucks to vertical wall trenching. New combined-function auxiliary hydraulic lines on the backhoe enable the 450E to support all one-way and two-way hydraulic work tools, such as hammers, compactors, thumbs, augers and tilting couplers.

Komatsu

Komatsu offers its factory-installed JRB hydraulic front coupler on the WB146-5, WB146PS-5, WB156-5 and WB 156PS-5 backhoe models. The coupler has a four-point pick-up for ease of coupling, even on uneven terrain. The hydraulic installation kit utilizes existing loader hydraulics. Top-mounted coupler contact points and lower coupler pins engagement are already visible by the operator. The lockable switch to open and close the coupler cylinder is located on the side dash. The load center of gravity is only 2 inches from the original pin-on attachment position for minimal reduction of lift capacity and breakout force.
