SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Atlas Copco last month appointed a new chief operational officer for Rental Service Corp. Tom Zorn, currently president of the directional marketing division of TMP Worldwide, will begin his post with RSC June 16.
Although Zorn hasn't directly worked in equipment rentals, he worked extensively in the automobile and truck rental industries. He worked for Ford Motor Co. for eight years before transferring to Budget Rent a Car, a Ford subsidiary, assuming management responsibility for Budget Truck Rental and instituting a restructuring program that reversed five years of revenue and profit declines. He also served as senior vice president of global strategy for Security Capital Group, and as president of Budget Truck Rental and Ryder Truck Rental, helping to merge those two companies.
RSC is No. 2 on the RER 100.
