FAIRFIELD, Calif. — All Star Rents, northern California's largest family-owned equipment rental company, last month acquired the assets of National Equipment Rentals of North Highlands, Calif., located just north of Sacramento.

This addition will give All Star Rents 10 locations, which are spread across the northern part of the state from the San Francisco Bay area to the Reno/Sparks area of Nevada. While most branches rent everything from lawn and garden to party equipment, All Star Rents has put an extra emphasis on serving contractors in their markets by increasing the inventory of larger equipment, improving delivery capabilities and hiring an outside sales staff.

“We are very pleased to add the National location to our family of branches,” said Ken deVries, CEO. “This will give us a large facility in the middle of our chain that will benefit both our customers and us.”

All Star Rents began in 1962 with one location as Vallejo Rent-All. Its founder, Ted deVries, will be inducted into the American Rental Association Hall of Fame during the 2005 ARA convention. The Fairfield, Calif.-based company is No. 83 on the RER 100.
