The MDL mechanical earth drills from Little Beaver are designed for one-man hole-digging applications, and feature a 360-rpm operating speed. Four models are available, the MDL-5B, MDL-5H, which have a Briggs & Stratton or Honda 5.5-hp engine and are mounted on 8-inch semi-pneumatic tires and the MDL-8B and MDL-8H, which offer the choice of an 8-hp Briggs & Stratton or Honda engine, on 10-inch pneumatic tires. The drills feature a steel torque tube, allowing operators the ability to use large-diameter augers without fear of kickback, and to reduce fatigue. All models feature a centrifugal clutch, so that if a buried object is encountered or the auger is overloaded, the clutch automatically slips, protecting the operator from injury and drive cable and transmission gears from damage. www.littlebeaver.com/
