Compaction Equipment

2006 RER Innovative Product Award

Category Winner

Skid-Pac

Allied’s ongoing product improvement has now taken its Ho-Pac vibratory compactor/driver to a different level with the introduction of the Model 1000 Skid-Pac. The all-new extreme Skid-Pacs have taken the Ho-Pac vibratory compactor technology and put it into motion. Mounted on a skid-steer loader, the Model 1000 now travels quickly over soil in flatwork, delivers more impact energy, has an errorless four-function valve and maintenance-free oil splash bearing lubrication. The Model 1000 Skid-Pac fits all manufacturers’ skid steers in the 4,000-pound to 14,000-pound weight range that use the universal mounting quick-change couplers.

WolfPac 4100

The Stone WolfPac 4100 is a 40-inch wide, double-drum drive, double-drum vibration asphalt roller. It is designed for compacting base, binder and finish coats of asphalt in confined areas. Its exclusive design allows the operator to direct the vibration to both drums, the front drum, or the rear drum. A specially designed electro-hydraulic circuit combined with a custom-designed manifold allows the operator to activate the vibration where needed. The 24-hp Kubota diesel engine provides added power. With 4,000 pounds of impact per drum, the roller is best suited for parking lots and other confined areas and paved surfaces where impact and maneuverability count.

Rammers – BS 50-4s and BS 60-4s

Wacker is the first manufacturer to offer a 4-cycle rammer with low oil shutoff, the company says. The BS 50-4s and BS 60-4s are the only rammers in the industry to offer this unique technology that is designed to protect the engine. A patent-pending low oil shutoff is incorporated into Wacker’s 4-cycle WM 90 engine. The electronic capacitive sensor switch is mounted into the bottom of the engine crankcase. Upon starting the unit, should the sensor detect no oil or low oil, a red flashing light signals the operator and the engine will shut off within about 10 seconds. This simple electronic switch has no moving parts, making it very reliable and durable.
