2006 RER Innovative Product Award

Category Winner

Worksite Pro roller levels

The new John Deere Worksite Pro RL66 and RL84 roller levels make grading, leveling and contouring with detail control a breeze for skid-steer operators. These new attachments — an exclusive product of John Deere — are a patented box blade with roller level designed to do landscape and site preparatory work without hydraulics. As a result, the initial cost and operating costs are less than other final grade tools. Uptime is also maximized since the roller level is a simple mechanical attachment with no hydraulic motors. Two greaseable bearings and two replaceable cutting edges enhance uptime.

E-Series skid loaders

Gehl Co.’s new line of skid-steer loaders range from the compact Model 3640E with a rated operating load of 1,175 pounds to the top-of-line Model 6640E with a rated operating load of 2,900 pounds (when equipped with the optional counterweights). The new E-Series skid loaders are designed with an optimized combination of performance, power, speed and operator comfort. The E-Series models are engineered to provide the operating precision and maneuverability operators want in compact loaders, along with high horsepower, superior hydraulic power, increased load capacities, and spacious, quiet operator compartments. They are built with advanced, innovative acoustical materials and specially designed engine compartment components to lower sound levels, both inside and out. The new E-Series loaders have some of the lowest operator sound levels in the industry, the company says, which helps reduce operator fatigue.

Yanmar CBL40

Yanmar designed the CBL40 with a durable welded construction mainframe. The machine is built from the ground up for the professional customer seeking high performance in a compact backhoe. It is not just a compact agricultural tractor with loader and backhoe attachments added. The CBL40 features an innovative, Hydro Mechanical Transmission (HMT) that blends the advantages of a hydrostatic transmission with those of a purely mechanical transmission without the disadvantages of either. Yanmar also utilizes the same hydraulic system that it uses in its excavators for smooth operation and combined functions not seen in many backhoes, regardless of size.
