U.K. rental company Vp plc has acquired Jackson Mechanical Services, a rental company with locations in Harpenden and Leeds in a deal valued at £3.6 million (about U.S. $4.5 million), according to U.K. media sources. The equipment rental activities of Jackson will be integrated into Vp’s Hire Station division. Vp also includes brands such as U.K. Forks, Groundforce, and Torrent Trackside, which serves the oil-and-gas industry.
“This acquisition will provide additional strength to our successful Hire Station specialist business,” said Vp chairman Jeremy Pilkington.
The acquisition does not include the JMS Plant Hire powered access division.
Vp recently said it has experience positive trading conditions through the winter period and expects to deliver full year results in line with current market expectations for its fiscal year ended March 31.
