Speedy Hire Plc, the United Kingdom’s largest tool and equipment rental company, announced that fiscal third-quarter revenue in the U.K. and Ireland increased 2 percent compared to the same period a year ago, with a year-to-date hike of 2.2 percent. The company’s international business grew 37 percent compared to the year-ago period, with a year-to-date improvement of 63 percent.
Speedy’s interim management statement covered the period between Oct. 1, 2012 and Feb. 12, 2013. The company’s performance in its fiscal fourth quarter, to this point, is solid enough for Speedy’s board to state confidently that the rental company will meet its expectations for the full financial year.
