RusRental Releases Report on Russian Tower Crane Rental Market

RusRental, the Russian Rental Association has conducted a first-ever survey of the Russian tower crane rental market, preparing a top 10 list of the largest Russian tower crane rental companies. The majority of the largest players are located in the Central and Northwestern areas of Russia, primarily Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The majority of the largest players are located in the Central and Northwestern areas of Russia, primarily Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The survey shows that the volume of the Russian tower crane rental market has grown considerably in 2012 and will continue to rise during the next two or three years. Currently, Russian rental companies offer 220 models of tower cranes for rent, and almost half (48 percent) have Russian-made tower cranes by Industrial Group Kranov, makers of KB cranes, and RBK in their rental fleets.

Among the most popular foreign brands on the Russian tower crane rental market are products of European companies Liebherr, Potain, Terex Comedil, Raimondi and Zepellin. Meanwhile brands Jaso, Linden Comansa, Soima, T.G.M. and Alfa are not significantly represented.

Among Chinese brands, the most widespread is QTZ and, to a lesser degree, Zoomlion and Yongmao.

The top 10 Russian tower crane rental companies are Moscow-based Vertikal; St. Petersburg-based UM-260; St. Petersburg-based UM-3; Moscow-based Rentakan; Vladimir-based UMSR-2; Moscow-based StrotKomplektatsiya; Ufa-based StrotMekhanizatsiya; Moscow-based GlavArendaKran; Moscow-based BashKranSnab; and St. Petersburg-based Global Rent.
