Genie Shows XC Units, Genie Tech Pro Link, and Platform Mesh at Intermat

Genie has chosen Intermat 2018 to showcase its new Genie Tech Pro Link handheld diagnostics device and its new Genie Lift Guard Platform Mesh family of accessories.

Genie has chosen Intermat 2018 to showcase its new Genie Tech Pro Link handheld diagnostics device and its new Genie Lift Guard Platform Mesh family of accessories. Both products will be available across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia as of June 2018. The aerial manufacturer is also showing its latest Genie Xtra Capacity (XC) and eco-friendly boom lift at the Paris trade show.

“At Genie, we put emphasis on service capabilities that are already integrated into the machines themselves, without the need for a laptop or other tools,” said Zach Gilmor, Genie product manager Terex AWP for the Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia region.

The Genie Tech Pro link is a handheld diagnostics device that allows users access for real time data, calibration or fault code information, gauges and to make settings adjustments such as speed and more, from the palm of the hand.

The device combines smart features with an integrated flashlight and a magnetic attachment for hands-free operation. The device is compatible with ALC600 CAN-enabled control systems on mid-sized Genie S-60 XC, S-80 XC and S-85 XC telescopic Xtra Capacity booms as well as Genie Smart Link controlled Genie GS-electric scissorlifts produced as of summer 2018. A retrofit kit with a connector will be available for earlie Genie GS-electric scissorlifts back to 2011.

Genie’s aluminum Lift Guard Platform Mesh, factory installed, is offered in two versions – half (from floor to midrail) and full (from floor to toprail. They are available on Genie 6-foot or 8-foot articulated and telescopic boom platforms equipped with a swing gate.

“Loose tools, equipment and jobsite materials always present a risk of dropped objects when working at height,” said Gilmor. “Items dropped from MEWPS can result in damaged or lost equipment, reduced productivity and increased risk of jobsite accidents, leading to injury or more serious consequences.”
