Powered access rental and training specialist Facelift has opened a new branch in Kirkby, Liverpool, U.K., the company said. The facility includes a 5,000-square-foot indoor work-at-height training center with daily classes offered by Facelift staff.

“We’re delighted to be opening this new depot in Liverpool, and we’ve already started working with several local clients,” said Gordon Leicester, Facelift managing director. “Our expertise, continual re-investment in the quality of our equipment and reputation for delivering a first-class service means we’ve quickly become very successful in every area of the country we operate in, and we expect Liverpool to be a similar story.”

In discussing the training facility, Leicester added, “The best businesses know that health and safety training isn’t optional, it should be at the core of any strategy. Good training doesn’t just ensure your employees all make it home at the end of the day; it can also improve your company’s productivity and improve the confidence of all staff involved in work at height activity. Despite this, last year the Health and Safety Executive reported seven deaths and 308 serious injuries on construction sites in the North West. Proper training is the single most important thing we can do to prevent needless deaths like these happening.”

Facelift, which claims to be the U.K.’s leading independent supplier of powered access equipment, has seven branches and is headquartered in Hickstead, West Sussex, U.K.
