Speedy Hire’s Equipment Division Up 58%

British rental chain Speedy Hire said last week that revenues rose 34 percent in the first 11 months of its fiscal year. Its equipment division, boosted by acquisitions, has jumped revenue 58 percent.

British rental chain Speedy Hire said last week that revenues rose 34 percent in the first 11 months of its fiscal year. Its equipment division, boosted by acquisitions, has jumped revenue 58 percent.

Based in Newton Le Willows, England, Speedy is the United Kingdom’s largest tool rental company with more than 350 branches. In addition to small tools, Speedy rents portable accommodation units, pumps, material handling equipment, survey and measurement instruments and electric generators.

Company officials attributed a strong construction market to fueling Speedy’s strong growth.
