Speedy Hire Orders 250 Skyjack Compact Scissors and Vertical Mast Units

Speedy Hire, the U.K.’s largest general rental company, has placed an initial order for 250 Skyjack aerial lift units including SJ3219 compact scissors and the recently introduced SJ12 vertical mast with the traversing deck feature. Skyjack is also providing Speedy with a comprehensive support package that includes general maintenance, service and product training for all key depot, hire desk and service personnel.

“Skyjack produces robust, reliable and easy-to-maintain products focused on the rental market and are ideally suited to the needs of our customers,” said Andy Connor, Speedy supply chain director.

The units are scheduled to be delivered to the company’s larger locations and superstores by the end of August 2011.

Skyjack produces a full line of self-propelled scissorlifts with work heights up to 56 feet, self-propelled boomlifts with work heights up to 71 feet and a complete range of telehandlers for the U.S. market.
