Riwal, one of the world’s largest aerial rental specialists, recently established a rental company in Croatia. Located in Split, with secondary rental locations in Zagreb and Rijeka, Riwal Croatia expands the company’s operations in southeastern Europe. Riwal opened a branch in neighboring Slovenia in 2005.

Riwal Croatia will focus on the rental business but will also sell new JLG equipment. The startup’s fleet size is 250 units, primarily aerial work platforms with some telehandlers. The managing partner in Croatia is Sinisa Durdevic, who has been working in the Croatian rental market for several years.

In recent weeks, Riwal acquired a 70-percent share of Grupo Clem in Spain, thus establishing itself in the Spanish market, as well as 123Lift, an Estonian aerial rental company.

Riwal, based in Dordrecht, Netherlands, has other branches in The Netherlands, as well as Denmark, Norway, France and Kazakhstan. It has joint ventures in other European countries and the Middle East.
