Japanese Rental Giant Kanamoto Acquires Four Companies

Kanamoto Co., one of Japan’s largest rental companies, has acquired an 86-percent share in Narasaki Lease Co., and all of the stock of Tokyo Narasaki Rental Co., Akita Narasaki Rental Co., and Aomori Narasaki Rental Co. from their owner Narasaki Sangyo Co., according to Thomson Financial Mergers & Acquisitions.

Kanamoto Co., one of Japan’s largest rental companies, has acquired an 86-percent share in Narasaki Lease Co., and all of the stock of Tokyo Narasaki Rental Co., Akita Narasaki Rental Co., and Aomori Narasaki Rental Co. from their owner Narasaki Sangyo Co., according to Thomson Financial Mergers & Acquisitions.

The agreement was signed recently. The four acquired companies will become subsidiaries of Kanamoto, which is based in Sapporo, Japan. According to Kanamoto’s most recent annual report, its latest full-year revenues were 69.4 billion Japanese yen, (about U.S. $698.7 million).
