International Powered Access Federation last week announced plans to begin a series of regional meetings to be held across the United Kingdom to reach out to a broader audience of IPAF members.

The aim is to attract local employees of IPAF member businesses who may not necessarily be involved in national events or be fully aware of IPAF’s activities, and to open up new opportunities for localized information exchange.

The first event will be based in the Northwest of England and held at the Ramada Encore Hotel in Haydock on Wednesday May 20, at 6 p.m.

The meeting is to be hosted by IPAF/CPA Powered Access Interest Group chairman Peter Jones. The evening will include a short presentation on recent IPAF activities by IPAF managing director Tim Whiteman, and a short presentation by Geoff Frackleton of the Health and Safety Executive, who will give insight on how HSE can help the powered access industry.

There will be a question and answer session, followed by a buffet meal and plenty of networking opportunity for the remainder of the evening.

For IPAF members, the event cost is £10 per head. The cost for non-members is £15. Payment must be made in advance.

IPAF is a not-for-profit members’ organization that exists to promote the safe and effective use of powered access equipment. Members include manufacturers, distributors and equipment owners, including rental companies.
