Harsco Acquires Chilean Company

Harsco Corp., Harsco, one of the world’s largest suppliers of rental scaffolding, concrete formwork, shoring and other access-related equipment, last week closed its acquisition of Chilean construction services company Moldajes y Andamios TH S.A.

Harsco Corp., Harsco, one of the world’s largest suppliers of rental scaffolding, concrete formwork, shoring and other access-related equipment, last week closed its acquisition of Chilean construction services company Moldajes y Andamios TH S.A.

Santiago-based MyA has annual revenues of about U.S. $8 million, primarily from the rental of concrete forkwork and scaffolding.

The acquisition expands Harsco’s presence in South America. It already provides equipment and services to steel mills in several South American countries, but this will be its first venture into the access equipment rental business.

Harsco Corp. is based in Harrisburg, Pa.
