Former Ramirent CEO Awarded ERA Lifetime Achievement Award

Erkki Norvio, former CEO and current board member of Ramirent, was awarded the European Rental Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award at ERA’s convention in Oslo, Norway, last month.

Erkki Norvio, former CEO and current board member of Ramirent, was awarded the European Rental Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award at ERA’s convention in Oslo, Norway, last month.

Norvio established a Russian joint venture for equipment rental in Moscow in 1988. He is known for his bold approach in leading and shaping the equipment rental industry in Finland and for actively pioneering rental services in Eastern Europe. He led Ramirent from being a national operator into an international player in Europe from 1986 to 2005.

During the 1990s, Norvio was a founding father of the machine rental section of the Association of Finnish Technical Traders, now an active member of ERA. He held a seat on the ERA board from 2006-2010.
