Cramo Buys Northern Sweden Rental Company

Cramo Sverige, the Swedish wholly owned subsidiary of Cramo plc last week acquired the entire share capital of Goby AB, a rental services company based in Sundsvall, in northern Sweden.

Cramo Sverige, the Swedish wholly owned subsidiary of Cramo plc last week acquired the entire share capital of Goby AB, a rental services company based in Sundsvall, in northern Sweden.

Goby specializes in the rental of site huts, aerial work platforms and electricity equipment. The acquisition is part of Cramo’s growth strategy to further expand in these product areas and strength its position in the Swedish market. With a staff of 12, Goby recorded sales of about EU [Euro symbol] $3.5 million (about U.S. $4.6 million) in 2006.

Magnus Rosen, Cramo’s senior vice president for Scandinavia, said the site huts are a good opportunity for the company because of a shortage of the product in Sweden.

Goby’s two branches will be integrated into Cramo’s network of locations.

Based in Helsinki, Finland, Cramo plc has more than 250 branches in 11 countries. It operates in operates in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic and Russia.
