About 180,000 people attended Bauma China in Shanghai, up from 155,000 in 2010. According to show organizers, the top 10 visitor countries were Russia, Korea, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Turkey. While the Chinese construction market has slowed, it is still one of the world’s fastest-growing construction markets.

Although leading Chinese construction manufacturers such as Zoomlion, Sany, Guangxi Liugong and Shantui were major players at Bauma China, U.S. and European companies such as Caterpillar — which presented its largest exhibition ever at a trade show with more than 12,000 square meters — and Volvo, had significant presences as well.
