Australian crane and equipment rental company Tuff Bryant Group Limited posted a net profit of AU $26.6 million (about U.S. $25.4 million) for the full year ended March 31, a 107-percent year-over-year increase. The company said it was well-positioned for further growth organically and by acquisition in fiscal year 2009.

The company’s revenues for the year climbed 31.3 percent to $302.8 million, up from $230.6 million for the previous year.

During the year, the company acquired Melbourne-based Bradshaw Ultra Heavy Haulage, Townsville-based Compactor Hire and Farren & Lawson, a rental business based in Goulburn, New South Wales.

The company’s increase reflects a full-year contribution from previously acquired Muswellbrook Cranes and Paramount Hire.
