Australia’s National Hire Group Posts 359-Percent Net Profit Improvement

National Hire Group, which operates Coates Hire, Australia’s largest rental company, has more than tripled its full-year profit and expects further growth this financial year, the company said. It reported a net profit of AU $26.5 million (about U.S. $27.7 million) for the year to June 30, a 359-percent jump compared with $5.8 million the previous year. Revenue leaped 56 percent to AU$135.6 million (about U.S. $141.9 million).

National Hire said the improvement was driven by better trading conditions in the mining and construction sectors.
