Aerial rental giant Riwal named Pedro Torres Michelena region director north, effective Dec. 1. Torres will be responsible for developing and leading the execution of the region strategy in line with Riwal’s group strategy. He replaces Søren Rosenkrands who was promoted to chief operations officer of Riwal in June. Torres will be responsible for the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
Torres will be based at Riwal’s headquarters in Dordrecht, The Netherlands, and will be a member of the company’s International Management Board. Torres has more than 14 years experience in management positions with international responsibilities. He holds an MBA degree from the Dorset Business School in the U.K., and a master’s degree in general management from the IESE-University of Navarra, Spain.
“With his extensive experience in the rental industry, [Torres] will be instrumental in helping Riwal continue to provide outstanding service for our customers and to serve as a strong leader for our employees in Region North,” said Riwal CEO Norty Turner.
Riwal has operations in 16 countries and a fleet of more than 13,000 aerial work platforms.
